Can you add a non-US number?
I was wondering why I can't add my mobile. I understand that you might not want to pay lots of international fees for your notifications, but couldn't you just send the confirmation SMS but not enable other notifications for non-US numbers yet?
I'd love to be able to use BrightKite from my phone and *I'm* happy to pay the international fees for that.
These are the kind of limitations that really drive the rest of us nuts.

Inappropriate?Lachlan, we hear you. Unfortunately, a lot of our features require 2-way communication, and it's technically and economically difficult to support non-US SMS messages at this point.
However, everything you can do via SMS, you can also do via e-mail. Most phones let you send messages to an e-mail address, so that might work for you. The e-mail address you need to send to can be found under Settings -> Mobile.

Inappropriate?Well, a "solution" for Blackberry users is to actually use your BIS. email BK with your updates.
