Inappropriate? It is on our list. We will support posting to flickr with geo-metadata.

Inappropriate?Oh, awesome. Really glad to hear this. Thanks for the quick response. I'm really digging your service ... here's to hoping it really takes off.
I’m happy to hear this feature's coming.

Inappropriate?Expect Flickr support to appear in the next few days. We are testing it now.

Inappropriate?Sharing to Flickr is now available! You can set it up under Account Settings -> Sharing. Right now you can just upload with optional geotagging, but soon you'll be able to allow uploads to a specific set.
I’m excited
-
Are you in private mode? If you have "everyone else" set to hidden your photos will not share. -
Inappropriate?I did have. So that must be why it didn't work. I have everyone else set to "city" now. Will that work?
-
Yes, that should work. :) -
Inappropriate? Can I request a bit more fine grained control over the Flickr upload?
Couple of nice-to-haves:
1. Ability to set the public/private geotagging, so for example I could upload the picture but with the geotags only visible to friends and contacts.
2. Ability to upload pictures to Flickr with accurate geotags, even if BrightKite is obscuring the location to people viewing the BrightKite stream -

On flickr, my geotags are set to display to my flickr contacts only, so, I'd prefer for BrightKite to send accurate geotags. I can then control how the tags are displayed on flickr. -
Inappropriate?RTPeat and Tanya, we do have plans to offer more customizable options for Flickr sharing but no ETA at the moment.
-
Okay. Just to clarify, the only option I'm hoping for is to send all data. No need to offer some sort of complex, multilevel, selection of certain fields. Just send it all. -
I'll second that, in the first instance the ability to optionally send accurate geotags to Flickr would be good and would avoid the current process I have to go through which is either to manually correct the location, or overwrite the Brightkite upload with another direct upload to get an accurate location.
