How do you resolve location collisions (i.e. when more than one place is at a single address)?
Hmm, what happens when more than one place exists at a single address? For example, Citizen Space is at 425 2nd St, but apparently so is this architecture firm:

I don't want to check in at the architecture firm, but instead at Citizen Space!

Inappropriate? For the purposes of the system, if they're in the same space, they're the same place.
That being said, we can have multiple places in the same physical space. We only found one possible match for a name in our database for that address (the architecture firm), that's why it shows up as that.
In the future, you'll be able to give a place several names, but for now I just fixed this manually.

Hmm, this seems less-than-ideal but I understand it's still early.
In some ways, I'd almost rather be able to create a "stub" location and deal with the overlap of the address later... then when I check in by address, I simply pick the name of the place where I'm at from a list, or add my own name/label. -
Well, you can, if you do a business search from your phone. We're getting this into the web version soon.
You can give places your own "name" by placemarking them. We're working towards then showing your placemark name instead of the system name when you do stuff.
