I have a user (1/2)uciminiei that is spamming me.
how do I make it stop? it seems to happen regardless of where I'm checked in at. the user is not listed as a friend. The message says: "I learned from a recent contact that more and more companies are reading the recommendations on interviewee's linked." which is total crap, but I really want to be able to block this user from spamming me. I'm sure they're spamming lots of folks.

Inappropriate?This is probably a nearby notification that you are getting based on proximity to that user. You have 2 options:
- Modify your nearby notifications settings
- Block this particular user

Inappropriate?Ok - but I was unable to find out how to 'block' someone. Can you point me to the directions? Again - in different places (work, home) this person was spamming me - doesn't seem to be anything to do with who's nearby. I live nearly 30 miles from where I work. -
Inappropriate?Debt, you can block someone by going to their profile and clicking "block this user" in the top right of the page.
This will prevent you from seeing their updates and receiving notifications or messages from them. I hope that helps.

Inappropriate?Ah...interesting. The user seems to be uciminiei - but the spamming is coming from (1/2)uciminiei. I blocked uciminiei and we'll see if that fixes it. All the spam had a date of Nov 7th even though the last one I received was this morning. Thanks, all!
