Its not really up to us. Verizon is not approving any new social networks until their parental controls are in. Verizon initially told us February 08 but here we are at the end of April. Maybe call Verizon's customer support and request they support Brightkite.
In the meantime you can post and check in via mobile email.

Inappropriate?This is such a pain in the ass for me, because all my friends are on Verizon, and they're all adults, but they can't send messages to BrightKite, though "PixMessage" (Verizon's MMS equivalent) can go to e-mail addresses, they can't set subject lines. Here's hoping Verizon gets off its ass and does something (one big reason I never want to use Verizon).
