Hi bostondave, we don't have the RSS icon for search terms just yet, but the feeds are there. For example I searched "Brightkite" and the url is:

http://brightkite.com/objects/search?...

If you add ".rss" between search and the ? you'll have your RSS feed:

http://brightkite.com/objects/search....

We should have both RSS and KML icons on the search pages soon.
