Photo not sent to Twitter
I just posted my first photo on Brightkite, and I have my options set so that only photos and location updates are cross-posted to Twitter. However, it didn't happen this time. Is something broken?

Inappropriate?Are you in private mode?
-
Inappropriate?By default in private mode notes and photos are hidden to non-friends (and Twitter). In your privacy settings you can change posts for everyone to city/exact and then they should show up on Twitter.

BTW, this didn't solve the problem. Can't change my score, though. -
Ah, this answers my same question. Likewise, I'm not sure that's completely clear in the privacy settings. Perhaps add a notice to the Sharing tab that because you're in Private mode nothing will publish to Twitter. -
Inappropriate?Ah, thanks. That's not very clear in the description on the settings page.
I’m satisfied

Inappropriate?I changed the setting for posts to city, but it still did not update Twitter, so I think there is something more to this problem than just that.
I’m frustrated

Bueller? Bueller? Anyone? -
Inappropriate?I'm having similar problems. I'm in private mode w/Everyone set to City for Check-ins and Exact for Posts. Yet I only get cross-posts to Twitter for one location. (I hope the fact I've check-in at this place and not at the others doesn't make a difference.) Help, please!
I’m disappointed.

Inappropriate?Seems to be working now. Not sure what did it.
-
Inappropriate?Bingo! Brightkite.com had to be set Public mode for update to pass to Twitter. Twitter can be set to public or private. It did not matter in my tests. Is this a bug or is it working as designed?
-
tdk337, that's how it's supposed to work. Posts will share to Twitter if you are in public mode or if you are in private mode with your settings for "everyone else" set to City. Hidden posts will not share. We are considering the option to share Hidden activity to Twitter, but I can't give you any sort of estimate when you might see that.
