Rotating photo during the upload process

Pictures I take from my mobile phone are frequently shifted 90 degrees. I need a way to rotate them. Ideally this'd be done by rotating them via uploading them through the mobile site, but there could also be a command used when sending them via email (ie -shift in the body of the message or something)
