Second Life and BrightKite happy together
is their a way to integrate SL locations in brightkite for multiple levels of interaction in the social web sphere. I think this would be a cool add-in

Inappropriate? This would be neat. Its possible with the release of our API someone will create a SL integration.
I’m excited

Inappropriate?it would be alowing an url variant as a place location.
other uses of this would be webpage veiwing( which could go ither way)

Inappropriate?Might want to check out this related discussion, Posting to twitter from second life. Someone mentioned sl-messenger.com which already supports twitter (and I suppose could be extended to support Second Life), as well as twitterbox, a twitter client for SL. I don't know the api differences, but it might be possible to write a derivative?

Inappropriate?what i am wanting to do is place a SLURL to brightkite so that ppl can see where I am or others are in SL

If there's a way to pull an SLURL in LSL, then you should be able to modify the twitter client to post an SLURL to twitter, and that'll solve half of the problem. -
Inappropriate?see only half but better than none. though in essence a slurl is just a special url and could be posted to twitter directly. and would not be hard at all going through twitterbox. @thomas if you want we could test this... but the real nature is not can we post a slurl to twitter, but is to checkin with said slurl with brightkite. i have a feeling it is going to be easy though than we all think I have faith that as soon as the api is released i can start to see how things are parced and may beable to modify it to do what we want with this
@Thomas hit me up in SL thier most nights(Stephen Posaner)
I’m excited
