single sign-on for feedback!
i hate. hate. hate having multiple logins for a single service.
I'm sure this whole "getsatisfaction" helps a bunch since you didn't have to develop it.
(Even if their chunky "1,2,3,4" was confusing at first since they didn't visually group the content under each number. and the question / idea / problem tabs i definitely didn't notice at first).
But. Is there no way to allow a single sign on? Please? It's already too late, i made an account on getsatisfaction, but that doesn't mean i have to be happy about it!

Unfortunately we cannot control the fact that Get Satisfaction has a different login. We would also prefer a single seamless login.
This is something Get Satisfaction would need to support it is out of our hands. Please let GS know about your gripe mabye they will fix it :)

Inappropriate?I discovered getsatisfaction by finding it through BrightKite's site and it looks to me like a really cool service. Maybe I partly think that because I thought of it a couple weeks before I discovered that it had been done already (and very well).
The main difference between my idea and getsatisfaction was that I envisioned each user getting 100 "chips" to distribute among their favorite ideas (and having the chips slowly leak back into the "unplaced" bin to keep votes from getting stale), so that the most desired features would float to the top. Perhaps that isn't necessary, but I still like it.
I was curious whether getsatisfaction offers an API to tie into their system from another interface, but this topic may have answered that question...
I’m undecided
-
Yes, in fact we do have an API. Here's our blog post about it: http://blog.getsatisfaction.com/2008/.... If you have any further questions about it, feel free to post them in *our* customer service area: http://getsatisfaction.com/satisfaction. We also have some topics over there about the API already. :) -
Very cool! Hopefully I'll have some time to play around with this... -
Inappropriate?Brady,
Actually GS has a way to sort of do single sign on. If I remember correctly GS has a way to make it so when a person creates an account on Brightkite, it also creates a GS account. I believe the kids at Filtrbox were implementing it. -
Inappropriate? We have an API at Get Satisfaction, so there are some options for single sign-on. Check it out here if you're interested: http://getsatisfaction.com/satisfacti...
I’m a fan of single sign-ons

Inappropriate?Hi All. So we (Get Satisfaction) have recently released our API and OAuth suport so single sign-on is now possible. Here are some related topics. We also have something new coming VERY soon so stay tuned!
FYI, here's the blog post about our API release.
I’m excited
