SMS settings - confusing
I think this is a wording/documentation issue rather than a problem with BK functioning.
In Account Settings, the "All Notifications" bit says, "When on, notifications are sent according to the settings below." - which I interpreted to mean, "When this is off, you won't get any messages at all."
I wanted text-messages for direct messages, but not public posts, so I left this to "on" and set everything below it unchecked, except for "direct messages". But I kept getting texts every time friends posted anything at all...
So how does a user turn off texts for ordinary posts/checkins but still keep receiving direct messages, other than going through the settings for every friend individually?
If, as I think might be the case, I should turn "All Notifications" to "off" but leave "direct messages" checked - the line I quoted above is really misleading.

Inappropriate?Notsheep, we agree that these settings do need some clarification on the site. If you only want to receive SMS notifications for Direct Messages you'll need to have SMS notifications set to ON with only DM's selected and you will have to manually disable any SMS notifications you have set up for your friends. These friend notifications are turned off by default, so you would have had to specifically say that you want to be notified via SMS when you friended them. Logistically we have to keep these friend notification settings separate and manually enabled/disabled, but we will see what we can do about making the wording and explanation clearer.

I think there needs to be an easier way to choose to receive direct messages only. Having to change the setting for each friend separately isn't really a substitute - anything more than two or three friends and it's going to get really onerous. -
Inappropriate?there seems to be consistent vernacular/diction problems throughout sms the documentation as well as settings dialogs.
