Could we have an option for measurements in Standard, not Metric? Thanks.

Inappropriate?Hi Gavin, thank you for the suggestion. We don't have any plans at this time to include Imperial units as an option.

Inappropriate?Mind if I ask why? We use Standard (Imperial) measure in the United States. It seems like you would seriously hamper your market in the US with no option for switching unit of measure. Seems like it would be in your own best interest to offer this as an option.

Inappropriate?I agree with Gavin. Being Brazilian, I'm accustomed with Metric, but I also know that Americans are VERY resistant to it. It would be a shame for that to hamper the adoption of BrightKite in the land of Uncle Sam...

Inappropriate?Thank you, thank you, thank you ... I completely removed the app from my machine because of this. Like most Americans, I don't think in Metric. The app might as well have been written in Martian.

Inappropriate?Gavin, we care very much about our users. After rethinking this and seeing more responses from people, we have plans to implement an option that will let you choose between imperial and metric units. We don't have an ETA on this yet, but you should see this option available in the future.

We have a very small team, so it does take us some time to work through all of the bugs and feature requests. We will tackle this as soon as the resources are available. -

Yes, this option will be included with some changes we are currently working on. You should see it in the available in the coming weeks.

Inappropriate?I just put BrightKite back on my iPhone just for kicks, only to find that it still has only Metric. DELETE. Again.

Almost a year now since my original post. I just checked the iPhone app again ... still nothing but Metric.
DELETE from phone and iTunes. I give up.
