Why do I have to confirm my check in when I use placemarks & the correct address?
Yesterday I tried to check in 4 times -- 3 times from places that I have placemarks for & a 4th place where I gave the correct address. My check ins were not recorded because the system sent me e-mail responses asking me to confirm that I want to check in from those locations. I didn't get the e-mails until hours later, so I was unable to check in.
Why does the system request me to confirm that I want to check in at places where I set placemarks for? Isn't it obvious that the answer is "yes" since I used the placemark name? And why did it ask for confirmation when I entered the correct address? Finally, on Thursday I entered an address in Oakland, CA and I received a request to confirm that I wanted to check in from an address in Salt Lake City. Seems like it's a bit wonky.

Inappropriate?zapladybug, are your checkins more than 30 miles away from your previous checkin? If so, we do this to prevent incorrect checkins as a result of typos, etc. We understand this can be frustrating, especially if you have the location placemarked. We are considering the option to disable this feature in the future. You can find more on this topic here:
