Will there be an API soon so that I can, when posting a blog, run a query to find out where I was when I posted that blog?

Inappropriate?proximity search by providing lat/lon would be cool
-
Inappropriate?also, of course, checking to closest place via lat/lon
-
Yes we will support checking into the closest place via Lat/long. -
Inappropriate?Definately would be good, I'm asking this because I want to be able to add location to my lifestream/tumblelog.
I’m thankful
-
You can add location to your lifestream now every place and user page currently has a GeoRSS feed. To get your stream browse to your profile page. -

"Yes! Expect the API in the next few weeks."
Fail.
J/K, but seriously, can haz API plx plx plx?
Yeah, was looking into checking in with a bookmark when I get home - I don't want to load the whole 'visited places page' to say "I'm home!". However, it queries some JavaScript to execute, and I'm not versed enough to deal with that (see http://bit.ly/3EDhcr).
But really, I'd love to throw together some sort of "On activity after long absence from the computer, query if one would like to re-checkin at home" tool for my Mac. I just can't do it without access to a stable API, which makes me sad )-:
I’m annoyed
