Inappropriate?Amorousnerdium, our resources are currently being directed towards the iPhone app. But this would be a perfect use for our API. :)

Inappropriate?I am not a software developer, but I am a designer who uses a winmo phone. If any developers are interested in making a winmo app I will volunteer my time in creation of any graphics need for the interface...

Inappropriate? What's the point in developing an API if there's only going to be one platform?
I’m sad I wasted time at brightkite.

Inappropriate?Windows Mobile browsers also support Gears now (through Opera and IE). Would it be possible that the existing Android/Gears implementation could be tweaked a little to allow additional Gears enabled browsers to have location guessing?
Having location guessing with Opera mobile and Gears would open things up for a lot of people, and would hopefully be a much smaller effort than a full app. -
Inappropriate?I think this is an excellent idea. I will have a look at the pocketwit and see how is easy it would be to integrate richer brightkite support today, if it's not suitable I'll have a stab from scratch myself.

I know PockeTwit already has GPS support for photos, maybe tap into that?
