Inappropriate?Hi A.T., we have plans for more options to 'Discover your friends' but we've been trying to knock some higher priority items out of the way first. We don't have an ETA right now, but keep an eye out for more options soon.

Inappropriate? For what's it's worth, having Twitter as the only way to "Discover my friends" is something of a hurdle is spreading the word about Brightkite. I do appreciate that BK may need to work on some higher level matters too, but more users (and more users spreading the word) are the key to getting this service to take off. (ie The Facebook effect.)

We have the option to discover friends via email coming very soon. -
Excellent! Looking forward to it! -
Wow, you weren't kidding Lesley... I'm seeing the option to check Gmail contacts already! -
I spoke too soon... "The page you have requested cannot be displayed. Another site was requesting access to your Google Account, but sent a malformed request. Please contact the site that you were trying to use when you received this message to inform them of the error. A detailed error message follows:
The "next" parameter was bad or missing." -
That should be fixed now, just tested and it worked for me. -
yes, I just tested and can confirm -- Gmail address-book import works Ok, and it works in proper way (not asking login/password, but using Google's approved method). Thank you! Tho -- I am still interested with original XFN discovery methods -- at least Google COntact and Friendfeed are open and capable to do this.
