Changing of feed url by site owner
Hi,
Just came upon your service - looks good.
I'm considering your site feed tool for my blog. But as the blog owner would I be able to move the blog one day and have subscribers' feeds automatically updated?
Thanks,
Paul

Inappropriate?Hey Paul!
It looks like we somehow missed your inquiry here on Get Satisfaction ... so sorry about that.
I totally understand your request, and believe it's reasonable. However, it's not at the top of our feature list right now. What about setting up a 301 redirect from the old url to the new one instead? That seems like it would work well for you, and Feed My Inbox should find the new URL just fine.
Here is a quick tutorial on 301 redirects if you are unfamiliar with them ... we usually do them with .htaccess: http://www.dailyblogtips.com/how-to-s....
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Hi Nick,
Thanks for the info on the 301. While interesting, it is not, IME, a satisfactory solution to a permanent change of location. One wants his readers to know and identify with the new address, and that is where this fails.
IME, site relocation is an absolutely fundamental feature of any notification service. Thanks for your response.
