Thanks for the idea. This seems like a reasonable request, and it's one that's not hard to do. It's never been requested before though, and I can't say that it's ever occurred to me to want my activities sorted alphabetically. How many activities do you have?
It's made me think, how do I sort my activities? I don't have a hard and fast rule I guess. They are sorted roughly by the priority I give in spending time on them. So that a good day has bubbles clustered mostly at the top and a not so good day has bubbles mostly towards the bottom.
I'm hesitant to rush this in just because it's easy to do. The button would be there forever providing visual clutter and 1 more thing for users to learn and understand. That'd be OK of course if lots of people found it useful, I'm just not sure how many people will use it.
I'm also getting ready to release categories soon which would call into question how the button should work. Would it then sort your top level activities and categories alphabetically? Would it also sort the activities within each category alphabetically?

Inappropriate?I'd probably wait until I'd seen your Categories implemented before answering further in detail... but for me the point here is that I am keeping track of time spent on multiple billable projects, and I would want to sort by project code to keep them easy to find.1 Comment Add a comment

That's more than fair. Be sure to let me know how you feel after the categories are released. To help me understand the context of your sorting request, roughly how many projects are you tracking?
