cluster activities
Be able to group activities into clusters. For example, a home cluster, a work cluster, etc. Then I can print out my work cluster for only for my work related activities.
The way it seems to work now is that all of my activities are lumped together with no real way to separate them.

Inappropriate?newtron,
You'll be glad to know that something like this is already being considered. It has been discussed several times, the topic of having activities in categories, and after the discussions Sean been thinking about what to do regarding it.
Regards,
Eric -
Inappropriate?this would be very good in my opinion. When this is implemented I will purchase your product.

Inappropriate?newtron,
Take a look at some of the other threads on this. It's been suggested as categories and as sub-activities. Let me know here or on one of those other threads if those discussions cover everything you'd need from this feature.
As Eric mentioned, it's on our immediate priority list (as the 4th of 4) so I'd expect it to be released sometime in the next month.
Thanks,
Sean -
Inappropriate?Hello,
Just checking back again to see if such a feature was implemented into bubble timer.
My goal is to be able to separate work activities from home activities. I love the ability to plot a pie chart to see how my workday is spent. However, the way the software works now is that the pie chart is a mixture of my work and personal activities.
Is there a way to only plot specific activities on the pie chart?
I would love to use this software, but it really needs this feature in my opinion. If it currently exists, I am unsure how to use it.
Thanks for your time.
I’m unsure

Inappropriate?newtron,
Unfortunately this has yet to be implemented just yet. Sean and I have not forgotten, however. Our plates have been full with so many awesome ideas that we have been scrambling around trying to get everything done. Don't fret though, for we have not forgotten our loyal customers.
Regards,
Eric
I’m thankful for so many awesome ideas.

Best of luck with all the awesome ideas that we can't wait to see! :) -
Inappropriate?good to know!
I could really use this feature. I am currently using other software to do clustering, but once bubble timer can do this ... you will definitely have a new customer.
Thanks for your time.

Inappropriate?Howdy guys. Just wanted to ping you again and see what is happening with this idea.
Thanks !!! -
Inappropriate?Eric,
That looks great! Please let me know when this hits the street.
Very excited about this. -
Inappropriate?That looks awesome!
One request, based on what I saw: could you make it so the categories with hidden activities shows which times are bubbled? Just so, at a glance, we can still trace how time was distributed, even with hidden activities.
I’m very excited too!

Inappropriate?Qrystal,
As is right now, it's a simple click to hide and unhide category activities, but your recommendation can be looked into :)
-
Oh, I would definitely not want to change the simple click to hide and unhide, just what was seen while the hiding was active. I totally understand if you'd want to save it for a later step, because I'm really excited to have categories at all! :) -
Inappropriate?Fellows,
We've had categories done for quite a while now to be honest. I've been sitting on it for 2 reasons.
First, I want to make sure it's up to snuff. As of this moment, it doesn't yet have category daily and weekly goals (that work on a rollup of the contained activities). It's probably best to get everybody categories w/o this, but it's how I would want to use categories and I feel it's pretty essential.
The 2nd reason is performance. Performance of the AJAXy parts of BubbleTimer (click a bubble being the canonical example) is for the most part reasonable, but loading a new day is just way too slow. Categories puts even more work into that process and until I can get the performance up, I'm just not willing to slow that down even more.
The good news on this is I have some time boxed out to work on performance in the next couple weeks, which is great on it's own, we'll all benefit from a faster BubbleTimer, but it means I can release the category feature too (with or w/o goals).
So, there is the update. Sorry that this #1 requested feature has been so slow to surface.
Thanks,
Sean
