High quality app, but good data plan needed
I really like this great application. For my oppinion the only "problem" withit is, that you always have to be online if you want to use it, as it's designed for. Data traffic costs vary from country to country and operator to operator. I'm @ T-Mobile Germany and can choose between 300 Minutes (4,95 €) 5 MB (4,95€) 30 MB (9,95€) and a flatrate (14,95€). "My" problem is, that I can often use WIFI (@home, my friends, McDonalds ;) and a few open WIFI spots I find. But I can't use this when I'm "one the road" It's cool to see how my location change from Home to Starbucks to near Work, to Work. The Idea behind this application is cool and I wonder, that this is still alpha! Can't image what it will look like when it's officially released!!
Thanks for this app. I will used as often as I can, but it depends an my data plan I have to choose and 14,95€ just for the fun of Buddycloud is high!

Inappropriate?Hi Christian. Good to see you outside of opentoall. T-Mobile is expensive. And who still tries to sell data with minutes? That's just crazy. You may be better off using a SimYo type deal. One of our users is on them and she says that it's costing the equivalent of two SMSs per day to use BC (about 50c I think).
Ross has built some hardcore compression into the data stream between the client and server. We calculate that the average user is pulling about 30k/hour. To be sending locations and receiving them and using the group chat features.
I like to think the industry will slowly get better and silly 300 minute type data tariffs go the way of the dodo.
