Twitter In & Out from Buddycloud
I'm a big friend of twitter and guess that I qualify as a heavy user, see my twitter account.
We are about to open up our push to twitter functionality to all Buddycloud users.
Would you be interested in being able to have 2-way twitter communication built into the Buddycloud client or is pushing your Buddycloud status to twitter all you need?

Inappropriate?I like it! This first way (out) still works, but I would like to receive @replies. If Timeline is needet.. I don't now.
-
Inappropriate?I would love to see two way Twitter. It was the Twitter integration that brought Buddycloud to my attention in the first place, and would love to see it work both ways.
I’m excited

Inappropriate?totally want to get this working in v2.0. We need to first wrap up a couple of loose ends and push out v1.0 and then we can begin crunching on this feature.
-
Inappropriate?Make sure though that you can turn the two way off and on. Sometimes I don't like getting so many messages on my phone and only want to send out. But definetly allow @replies to come through at all times would be nice.

Thanks for the info. Good to hear that the twitter integration caught your attention ;)
@DJEJ
Thanks. Getting requests for features such as the one you describe is important to us. Keep'em coming.

Inappropriate?@replies would be very very cool! Timeline should be able to turn off / on.
-
Inappropriate?I agree wholeheartedly with DJEJ about filtering @replies - i.e. alert me only when someone replies, but let me browse my whole Twitter stream too.
Otherwise, like Fring does, my phone would be beeping at me every couple of minutes, which essentially makes it useless...

Inappropriate?I'd love full Twitter support. Would give me the chance to get rid of a dedicated Twitter client if it's done well.
Makes me think of an easy way to integrate another feature: picture sharing. Twitpic should do the backend part and you could implement a funtion to send the link directly to a channel
I’m swatting to flies at once with this idea
