Hello i want to become a beta tester to better the product, i have sufficient coding experience and if you could give me the open source and final alpha version of bump top i think i could help you out
Is there any way to re-center an icon? when i drag an icon over to where i want it it always lands sideways. for some things this is ok, but it'd be nice if i could make the icon sit propperly again without having to tinker with pulling on it's corners. Also, it would be nice if i could select multiple icons and adjust them all to stand up properly at once.
I keep on reading you get handpicked to try the bumptop beta. Does this mean people pick you instead of a computer and do I need to know some one who worked on bumptop. I'm confused, plz answer
I saw BumpTop featured on a documentary about TED, and assumed it was available for public beta at least. Boy was I wrong... and stupid... because I selected a Tablet PC (which I still love...) based largely on that assumption! I signed up for the list, but have no clue how long I'll have to wait. Would you know the average time people spend on the private beta request list before getting selected to try it out?
Its been about year almost when i signed up and was curious if i wasn't alone in the wait process. Its cool that the creator answers promptly but i notice his answer is usually the same on all these questions ..... Thanks....
It calculates everything relatively smoothly and such but it can potentially cause problems for normal users.
If say you hand twitches or you run out of mousepad room, this would cause the mouse on the screen to move thus making the fan out of piles less appealing or unintended, also having the select icons feature require you to try again but that can be ignored seeing that the current select feature for 2D setups generally cause the same issue.
If you could make an option in settings between self created fan out and automatic, or even (i don't know how this would go about) a guided fan out, much like the current self done but follows a smoother look
i.e:
user takes a pile and tries to make a straight line with it, but because they are not a skilled professional gamer, or have a high sensitive mouse, the line they create is wobbling, instead of that have the computer calculate the points and remove the outliers as soon as the user releases.
My main laptop recently had a hardware failure so while I'm waiting for the new part to arrive I would like to go on using BumpTop on another machine (a Sony Vaio Type U UMPC) but when I put in my invitation code BumpTop tells me the authorization failed. Any Ideas?
How do I create a new folder when I'm in a folder via "Bump This Folder" mode? I don't have the "New" context menu when I right-click the floor and select "more" like I do when I show the actual Bumptop desktop.
hi, im Cristhian and im really amazed with your new bumptop, but what about the file names... how do you recognize a pdf file, when you have dozens of pdf's in the desktop?
Is it possible to reinstall Bumptop on my computer after I formatted, with the same invite code?
I had to format my XP partition on my hard drive, and was wondering if I could do this before I did, just in case.
Thanks =]
