when I only have one window open and I alt-tab to that window (in windows xp), bumptop disappears even though the program is still running - it just displays my normal desktop. i have to restart bumptop everytime it happens.
I reported this problem awhile back via email, but I reporting it on here now because it is still happening. While looking at the contents of any of the file servers on my company network, if I right click, Explorer crashes. This only occurs while bumptop is running. i have tried it 4 times in a row with bumptop on (crashed everytime) and 4 times without (no crash). This does not happen with mapped drives, only while browsing with \\ at the beginning.
I removed my recycle bin from a pile that was created by the "Pile By Type" function, and after I did, the pile started bouncing! it also has a strange black square on top of it. Any idea what is causing this?
BumpTop shows choppy ugly graphics, for example the walls are not smooth gradients
(see image). Also, my Windows background is not being rendered on the ground of the cube. The first time I ran it, my desktop appeared but also in choppy ugly colors, but I have not seen it since.
Right click > more not working... A dialog box shows up and I can't click on anything in the menu... (I'm right clicking on the bumptop itself here, not on an item.
Edit: Maybe it only happens while it's starting up...
Icons are getting a bit 'fuzzy' when I get out of hibernating mode. I've made a screenshot of one folder made bigger. Also, some text went going really fuzzy, like instead of Battlefield it now says Ba lle ie d.. Some texts even show a lot of stripes.
1. Copy a folder to desktop
2. Ctrl+doubleclick to expand
3. Break pile
4. Answer yes to dialog box
An error appears, saying that the file cannot be moved, because the source file or source disk cannot be read. Clicking OK makes it appear again. This repeats itself tens of times, and is apparently an infintely loop. I had to exit BumpTop altogether to get out.
Bumptop doesn't startup! (Bump this folder does.) Look at this screenshot: this is what I get when I startup Bumptop. Altough the Bump this folder works fine. I'm on v.1304
When viewing many picture thumbnails (20 or 30 or so), BumpTop gets really slow (<5 fps). This persists even when all the photos are piled and stacked.
This problem makes it impossible to use BumpTop at an application that it would really excel at: sorting photos.
My system specs:
Intel Pentium M 1.5 GHz CPU
512 MB RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon 9200 with 64 MB video RAM
When JPEGs are displayed as thumbnails, they are always displayed in landscape format, regardless of the rotation property in the EXIF data. There does not seem to be any manual way of rotating them either. The obvious solution, grabbing a corner and doing a circular motion, just moves the thumbnail, but the orientation stays the same.
In vista, we can shift right click a file to add an extra option to the menu: Copy as Path. This menu / option is not accessible through bumptop, as shift right clicking... doesn't really have an effect.
