Inappropriate? This build contains a significant number of bug fixes, changes, improvements:
(This is by no means a comprehensive list, but should help with testing)
- BumpTop now disables animations and stops Flickr photoframes when on battery power. We have seen significant battery life improvements with this build
- Flickr photoframe download behaviour has been improved which should dramatically reduce the amount of data that is downloaded
- A few of our multitouch gestures for Windows 7 have been made available. Quite a few more are still in the works but not yet ready for release
- Full camera zoom and pan support via mouse scroll wheel and touch-enabled panels, including the ability to save camera positions
- Fixed crash with sticky notes that contained only 1 character
- Added Remote Desktop (RDP) detection to disable BumpTop when a remote connection is established
- Improved background texture loading performance and robustness. A change in Adobe Acrobat Reader 9 caused PDF thumbnails not to generate correctly; BumpTop now handles these scenarios properly
- Alexa thumbnailing temporarily disabled until proper alternative is implemented
- Significant improvements in multilingual support - translation improvements, better international font rendering support, improve stability, preliminary RTL support
- Revamped Settings dialog boxes to improve usability and simplicity
- Changes to Twitter authentication via Basic authentication and OAuth
- Fix issue with libcurl and multiple file transfers which would have affected Facebook and Twitter integration in some scenarios -
Inappropriate?is there a full list of multitouch gestures?
-
pinch to grow/shrink (icon), 2 fingers on background to zoom/pan, flick through piles of icons/photos (left, right, up), and some more that will come with our 1.1 update =) -
all gestures are working great on my computer, nice work guys, can wait for more gestures... (and the explorer integration...) -
Inappropriate?a comment on install -- it behaved well in uninstalling and reinstalling with the new version EXCEPT that it didn't remove the old bumptop icon from the desktop, and there are now 2 bumptop icons
I’m indifferent
-
Inappropriate?still don't have any thumbnails -- i'm using acrobat 8 pro, and almost all the documents i keep on my desktop are pdfs. they were generated using print to pdf. my hope, reading your comment about acrobat 9, was that there was hope for my thumnail problem too
I’m frustrated
-
Well, I presume that it needs Acrobat 9 to work. It would be using Acrobat's thumbnail capabilities. Try upgrading. -
Adobe Acrobat 9 will NOT work for thumbnail genertion - this VIP only contains a workaround. PDF thumbnails should work with Acrobat 8 curently. -
Could it be the pro then? Do you have "Use Windows thumbnails" turned off? -
Inappropriate?what about gestures with my wacom pen? will it work about the same? (this is not an important thing for me, just wondering--but I'll bet it would be a big thing for some wacom users)
I’m just wondering
-
We're using the Windows 7 multitouch API. So if you have a supported MT device in Windows 7, it will work with BumpTop. -
Let me know what file extensions you have on your desktop - so we can track this down. -
Have you tried the filename toggle? Select all your files, bring up the menu, hit more and then filename toggle. -
Inappropriate?I can't see differences with former version. But it also means no trouble for me... keep going with this project !!!!
I’m satisified and confident
