BumpTop fails to load my desktop!!!
Hey, I hope this can be helped as I REALLY want to use this program lol...
When I boot it up for the first time, everything runs very smoothly and I can complete the tutorial. However, upon completing the tutorial, at claims to be "resetting my desktop" and then does nothing of the sort... well.. maybe not nothing, but close to it. Anyway, even if I force exit the program (which is the only way to close it at this point) and restart the application, it starts to set up my desktop and then stops...
The screen locks while compiling my desktop but the only thing on my desktop is my recycle bin! I'm thinking it might have something to do with the slideshow stuff on the back wall (the only reason I know that it's a slideshow is because it actually worked once, but I've reinstalled it since, making sure to delete all the config files and folders as well).
Thanks in advance guys! Please Help!!!

Inappropriate?Hi there,
Is your desktop redirected to a different path? Or is it stored in the default Windows directory?
Can I get some more information about your system? What OS/service pack? -
Inappropriate?Wow I didn't expect a reply so fast! thanks! :D
My desktop is all default, I wasn't even aware that you could change it to be honest.
My system specs are as follows:
Intel pentium dual core CPU T2370 @ 1.73GHz
2GB DDR2 RAM
160GB HDD
Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family (also says on the label on the front of my laptop "up to 358MB Mobile Intel Graphic Media Accelerator X3 100" not sure how relevent this is.)
Thanks again for the fast response, and I hope that's enough info. I'll try to get more info for you if needed. -
Inappropriate?Hi Mike,
Are you running Windows XP or Vista? 32-bit? 64-bit? Any service pack installed? -
Inappropriate?I'm running Windows XP 32-bit service pack 3

Inappropriate?Hi Mike,
Can you send us an email at feedback@bumptop.com - use subject "BumpTop fails to load my desktop" and I'll get back to you. We're going to need some more debug information from you to figure out what's going on. -
Inappropriate?I have actually figured out the problem. I had a custom theme (Royale Remixed) and it changes a lot of stuff but still looks close to the standard XP theme, except black. I changed my theme back to the original XP theme and BumpTop works great! With knowledge that the theme was the problem, I hope that this clears some stuff up and helps you guys out! thanks for your help as well!
I’m happy
