Bumptop freezing my computer, cant uninstall
I installed Bumptop yesterday, having started my computer today, its now freezing/hanging. Even trying to shut down Bumptop from the Task Manager or conventionally from within the program causes this to happen. I want to uninstall, but cant get to that point before it hangs my system.
In this instance, how can I uninstall bumptop ?

Inappropriate?I have the same computer freezing problem. I had to go into safe mode and remove Bumptop from starting from msconfig.
Now, I can't uninstall the app because the install package says it can't communicate with the Windows Installer Service...

Inappropriate?Start Windows in Safe Mode, this is usually achieved by hitting F8 repeatedly at startup. You may be prompted to select how to start Windows at this point. Use your arrow keys and select 'Safe Mode' using the Enter key.
Once Windows has loaded all the backup drivers, follow the prompts (There should only be one or two at most) and you will be taken to a basic looking desktop, not dissimilar to Windows 95. BumpTop will not load.
Click Start > Run. Once the dialog box opens, type in 'MSCONFIG' without inverted commas. The Configuration Utility will open.
You want to navigate to the 'Startup' tab, and search through this list for the entry for BumpTop. To the far left are a bunch of checkboxes. BumpTop will have a tick in it. Remove this tick, then click OK. You will be prompted to restart. Do so.
Once Windows has restarted, and it may ask you again how you would like to start Windows. Just select 'Start Windows normally' using your arrow keys and Enter.
Once Windows has started, you will see a prompt telling you that you have used the MSCONFIG utility. Read this carefully, and put a tick in the box next to 'Do not show this message on startup or open the Configuration Utility.
Before you uninstall Bumptop, navigate to your BumpTop folder in #:\Program Files\BumpTop (Where # is your root hard drive, default is C:\)and check to see if there are any error log files. If there are, move these out onto your desktop.
Now go to your Control Panel, Double Click on Add/Remove Programs, and uninstall BumpTop.
If you have signed up for the VIP BumpTop and you were using that, I suggest you revert back to BumpTop Beta, the non-VIP version, or check to see if you have an older version of the installer, and use that until a new beta comes out.
Finally, take the files you saved from your BumpTop folder and mail them off to the BumpTop team, along with your computer specifications, including Operating System, Processer, Graphics chipset and so on.
I’m hoping this helps.

Inappropriate?Already completed the steps to get my computer back up and running.
No log files in the directory and the uninstaller is not able to access the Windows Installer service - this is the only app that can't. Posting here for posterity...
