Computers can do multiple desktops...Why not multiple rooms?
Multiple desktops is nothing new. I haven't tried it with BumpTop yet, but maybe it could expand itself into multiple "spaces".
Or maybe when you open a folder from the desktop, it opens it as a BumpTop folder, as if there were rooms inside folders. That'd be pretty killer.

Inappropriate?Bumptop isn't about having a house to play in.
Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not trying to be mean, but I feel it may be worded in such a way that it seems like it.
The whole point of bumptop is to bring the subtle organization and methodology of your desk to your computer, not about turning your desktop into a house, I mean, seriously, when was the last time your desk had doors to other rooms and a couch on it, lol?
It would be awesome, but i think it's impractical. You do know that Bumptop can be used in folders, right? -

I'm aware. I still think it'd be fun.
There are a lot of ideas flying around saying there should be 3D "appliances" that metaphorically equivocate to their real world counterparts. No doubt a desk might have a radio or a toaster on it. (An mp3 player or cd burner, in the computer's case.) I was just taking the metaphor a step further. I assure you I wasn't daydreaming about playing house. -

True, I hadn't thought of that. I wouldn't mind having a little mp3 widget on the desktop that has a playlist I use a lot.
But what would I use a Bumptop toaster for? -

Inappropriate?Ive stated this in another topic. Bumptop isnt meant to be 'fun, multiple desktops are for extra space, bumptop solves this by providing exra workspace and new ways to organize and browse. -
Inappropriate?once again i say this, rotate walls, set number of walls, one click open on walls, ability to set custom shortcuts for EVERYTHING, and screen edge support, so if i want a different wall i put the cursor in the top or bottom of the screen and hit the scrolly wheel. if thats how i want to set it
