Couldn ́t detect OpenGl 3D Hardware Acceleration
When i start Bump Top it tells me :
Couldn ́t detect OpenGl 3D Hardware Acceleration. As u see in the picture.
I updated the Drivers and restartet but still same error .
The problem is that i got a Laptop from acer with a Nvidia Gforce 8400M G.
So I can only download the acer driver files .
Does anybody know how i can fix the problem ? Or does anybody have some working drivers for the Gforce 8000m Series ?
I ́d be very happy about fast help.
Thanks alot senses

Have you tried installing the latest drivers for your graphics card?

Inappropriate? Can you send us a feedback email though the 'Send Feedback' button in the system tray icon? That will automatically attach some basic computer information including the graphics driver that BumpTop detected on startup and will help us further debug this problem.

Inappropriate?sure , just gimme a few seconds .
In the meanwhile i Installes omega drivers .
But as it seems i cant fully Uninstall my Nvidia Acer Drivers .
Edit: Ok send . I wrote something about can ́t detect hardware OpenGl acceleration. -
Inappropriate?Hi, I've just installed BumpTop and I'm having the same problem.
I'll send feedback right away.
I’m undecided

Yup, this solves it. I've used windows update and let it install new nVidia drivers.

Inappropriate?Hello,
I had this problem too, and i was very sad.
But i got it worked.
For my drivers update i used Everest_Ultimate (to see witch versions i had)
When i updated als the drivers it still didn't work so i was looking on the internet and found this:
Check to make sure your video card is working up to snuff for OpenGL by checking this out..
http://www.realtech-vr.com/glview/
Run the standard base install and check that your video card is 100% compatible. (OpenGL test)
Make sure that your using the latest video and sound card drivers that are supported by your sound and video card manufacturers.
Make sure the 3D hardware acceleration is turned all the way up.
1) Right-click on the My Computer icon on the desktop and select Properties.
2) Select the Performance tab and click the Graphics button.
3) Make sure the acceleration slider is set to Full.
For Windows XP:
1) Click on the Start button > Settings > Control Panel.
2) Double-click the Display icon.
3) Click the Settings tab.
4) Click the Advanced button.
5) Click the Troubleshoot tab.
6) Make sure the acceleration slider is set to Full.
Also try setting your desktop settings to 640 by 480 and High Color (16 bit).
Make sure that your running a clean boot with no background files running as well.
If after trying the above solutions the game still does not work, check the following:
1) Click on the Start button > Run and in the run box type "Sysedit" without the quotes and click the OK button.
2) When Sysedit comes up you should see a bunch of cascaded windows, select the window that says Win.ini above it.
3) The Win.ini window should come to the foreground, scroll through the list of items until you come to [DrawDib].
4) Look for a line under [DrawDib] that says DVA=0 and remove it.
5) Click File, then Save and close the Sysedit program.
6) Try the game at this point.
If you do not see the DVA=0 line under the [DrawDib] section, then this is not the cause of your problem. DVA stands for Direct Video Access, and is commonly set to 0 to fix issues with older games or video problems with old software. The only way to fix this is to remove that line. This should not affect anything on your system.
Well it worked for me!!! Maybe it will help you.
Greetings from Holland

Inappropriate?I've sent feedback right now. my laptop (fujitsu-siemens amilo 1630a) has an ati mobility radeon 9700, but bumptop can't detect it. as there's no officially updated driver for this card I used the latest omega drivers supporting it. works with everything but bumptop...
And software renderer is too slow and ugly... please fix this!
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Same issue here, NVidia GeForce 9800GTX, latest drivers (dated 19/11/2008 - yesterday!) glview shows OpenGL drivers available...
I've sent a feedback request via BumpTop too, but it's currently unusable for me in this state - far, far too slow.
I’m sad

Inappropriate?Yeah, the updated drivers didn't do a thing, need more help! Anyone else dealing with this issue?
I’m pissed
-
Inappropriate?I got it to work by changing the resolution down to 800x600, and then popping it back up to max. I dual boot Vista/XP and only had this problem on XP. T61 with quadro nvs 140m card.

Inappropriate?I made all you say, but nothing can work. I have the lastest drivers, but the same problem!
I’m frustrated
