bumptop will crash when i try to open a game from my games pile, but only when flipping my pile.
to recreate my problem you should:
- create a pile with at least one full screen game in it
- use flip option to find you game
- double click it to open
- bump top is now disabled and you game does not start yet
- start up bump top again it will still work fine
posible causes:

Inappropriate?Wow. thats a beefy machine. Sorry, back to your problem...
We'll try and reproduce internally. Thats an odd error.
-Does it also crash in grid or fanout view when you launch the game?
-Does it happen when launching any other app shortcuts?
-Does it happen if you pull the game shortcut out of a pile and try launching it then?
-Is it possible to submit a crash report? This will really help us debug it. If BumpTop dies before you're able to submit a crash you can manually submit a report using these instructions:

Inappropriate?not exactly, but when i run Need For Speed, bumptop uses ALL the cpu that the game is not using, and after exiting the game, bumptop no longer works, like right now its using 140mb ram and 85% cpu constant, and does not respond, like if i minimize the window bumptop still shows it
worked when i did it again
than when i tried again took 3 times to launch the game, 1st 2 tries it just crashed the game
never had a problem with game before

Inappropriate?and unreal tournament 2004 gives this error
UT2004 Build UT2004_Build_[2005-11-23_16.22]
OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: GenuineIntel PentiumPro-class processor @ 3169 MHz with 2046MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT (7824)
Error setting display mode: CreateDevice failed (D3DERR_OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY). Please delete your UT2004.ini file if this error prevents you from starting the game.
History: UD3DRenderDevice::UnSetRes <-><-><-><-><-><-><- FMallocWindows::Free
Deleting the file solved the issue for unreal, hope this helps -
Inappropriate? When I run outpost pro firewall it has a entertainment mode, which detects a fullscreen request and disables the popup windows for rule creation on my firewall. In retrospect, would it be possible to create a minimize / disable / idle bumptop when you run a full screen application or game? it detects a change, and basically quits bumptop, removes it from memory, or whatever... at the present moment I end up quitting bumptop to play any game. similar to quitting a anti virus app. If I could get bumptop to drop its memory, and its cpu when I am playing a game i'd gladly leave it running so when I quit my game I come back to bumptop. having to relaunch bumptop pulls you out of the trance that you have a 3D desktop when you have to view your 2D windows desktop first after the game quits.
I’m undecided

if you ask me, bumptop shouldnt be using that much resources anyhow
