Desktop layout not saved, anybody else?
My bumptop settings do not get saved. Everytime I close/reboot/etc bumptop, my desktop reverts to its previous settings.

Okay great. Thanks for the info guys. Basically the problem is BumpTop isn't continuously saving the scene on changes like it should be. If it did, when you crash/kill BumpTop it would have saved your last couple changes.
We're working on this and will have it fixed for the next update due out in about 1.5 weeks. In the meantime hopefully you can make a mental note to close BumpTop gracefully. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Inappropriate?I think this is caused on my machine by the program immaturely quitting when I close/sleep/reboot/etc.. I am sure I sent a dozen or so problem reports. Most of which probably never got through because the program quit durring that process too.

Was it the BtShExt.dll that you got the error about? I assume you don't see a "Bump This Folder" on your toolbar in a typical windows explorer window?
Have you gotten this error with the newest installer/updater too (Beta 9, 1304, released on July 14) -
Inappropriate?Hey Jack, thats really crappy to hear. We've heard a few other reports on this and are definitely looking into it.
Can you give me some more info. Do you know if BumpTop properly quits, or if the process might be getting killed pre-maturely? If so, this can currently cause BumpTop to lose some of the last changes to your layout.
If you open up BumpTop, make a change (ie, move a file across the screen) and then exit BumpTop normally, does the change get reflected?

Inappropriate?No, It updated and installed just fine. The only other thing I have installed recently was a couple of Windows Updates.
I can vouch for the fact that the program quits before it has the chance to update the settings. But when you open it up, move some stuff, exit the app properly and then open it again. it saves the settings until the lid is closed or you restart. Then the settings revert back to Default. -
Inappropriate?Same here. If I make some changes, close it from the taskbar icon, then restart bumptop, the changes are there. Looks like XP shutting down/logging out/rebooting is killing the app before it can close gracefully. I confirmed all 3.

There is a known issue with that version -- can you update to the latest version? (You can either restart BumpTop or re-download it from the site)

Inappropriate?I have the same issue, all of sudden. Build Pro 3018, but download site points to the same version, not an newer/updated one.
What is the latest version as of right now?
