Flying icons
I found a glitch about the walls:
When you're zoomed on a wall, if you take an icon and move it as high as possible, the icon flies on the other side of the desk...

Inappropriate? Thanks. Moving stuff around when zoomed to walls is wonky at the moment. Its on our big fix list, thanks.

Oh, good, because I was going to ask about why it was so difficult to select and move stuff on the side walls... The front and back walls are a bit easier though, but all the walls suffer this twitching/flying icon problem. -
Inappropriate?I have been having the same problem as well, and noticed (I don't know if it's because of 14, or just the way I did this theme) something new since the update.
The icons on the opposite wall (represented in the overlay) are in the same position as the icons on the main capture. As you can see, the file names are visible above the opposing wall. I'm simply imputing this remark, in hopes that it may help or clarify what the problem might specifically be in order to help remedy the issue.
I’m distraught

Inappropriate?Hey, I don't fully understand what you mean DS. Since you have a pre-release Beta 14, can you tell us if you can move things okay when you're zoomed into the walls? Cause i think this may be fixed now.

Inappropriate?I just thought that the visibility of the placement of the files names might hold some insight as to why the icons tend to fly across the screen if placed too high up on the wall.
The icons flying to the other side of the screen if placed to high, still exists for me in 14, as well as icons that are double clicked falling. -
Inappropriate? The icon system is independent of the selection system so unfortunately its not indicative.
You're right, icons are still flying but its much easier to move them when zoomed in on one of the walls. If you really want to prevent the flying you can change the "repositionIconsIfOutsideWalls" to false. Although then things will fly out of the workspace. -
Inappropriate?Oh, yeah, that will be much more fun! (j/k) :)
I do wish I could help more.
Might I ask what it is written in, so that I might dive a bit deeper myself?
I'm not a programmer by trade, but I can learn most anything quite quickly. -
Inappropriate? We're closed source so unfortunately there's no easy way for you to contribute to code for the time being. We're working on an API in our broader plans though.

Inappropriate?Hooo hoo, still someone here? So, we're November the 29, 2009 and this bug seem to be always present. But this actually happend when you move an icon to upper left side of right and left wall. Sometime, objets hit the opposite wall and fall on the floor, causing some derogatory mess or simply disappear. Anyone know if there a fix for this problem now? Thank!
I’m perplexed

Inappropriate?I just downloaded bumptop and i have this problem. Only my icons or notes flies over to the other wall if i drag them to far to the left. After that i can't use them unless i find the exact place they're in but on the wall they're supposed to be on. The icon flies to the other wall but I still have to click this wall. This is very frustrating cause I can't fully use the whole workspace now. I think after 12 months you should have fixed this.
*edit* this is if i'm on the left wall. On the right wall stuff flies over if i pull them too far to the right.
