Force update option and changelog
How about an option in the settings where we can "check for update" and it displays the current version installed and the most up to date version, if they are the same it just says so, but if you have an older version it forces a background update allowing you to know you are up to date.
Something I would like to see combined with this is a change log so we know what happens behind the scenes, it is always interesting to know and means that users are more likely to try new features (as they find them in the changelog).

Inappropriate?Yea, I was just looking for an option to update my bumptop version, so I could continue helping with the beta test. I know there's a new release, but I don't know how to get it, since the site still has an outdated version.

Inappropriate?It's my understanding that the BT staff push updates as soon as they're ready, so there's no reason to force an update.
If you really, really want to force an update, restart BumptTop. -

Inappropriate?most importantly, i'd rather have the option to disable update checks. I allways prefer to check the changelogs before updating in order to see if it's worth it. And having update warnings pop-up on every launch is damn annoying.
