Idea: PDF and SWF preview in 'Bump this Folder' would be awesome...
I think it would be great if BumpTop could display PDF and SWF previews in the 'Bump this Folder' view. I know this might be kinda hard to implement, but I think the feature would be awesome.

Inappropriate? How about a framework for providing previews by file type (or maybe use windows own shell extensions for this)
I’m excited about the possibilties

Inappropriate? In Vista we actually do preview PDF icons on the desktop or Bumped folders. We used the built in Vista thumbnail previewing API which gives us rich previews for a number of filetypes including Powerpoints, images, etc.
Perhaps you're using XP? If you're using vista and not seeing the previews please let us know.

Inappropriate?Yep, using XP and getting no PDF previews (might we see that feature later?)... what about SWF previews, can that be done too?
-
Inappropriate?Unfortunately we likely won't add PDF previews to XP. Hadn't thought about SWF although its not likely either as we want to focus the most widely used filetypes first. Thanks for your feedback though. :)

Inappropriate?you should also focus on most widely used OS first... most people I know won't install vista as it's a resource-eater and stick to xp...
-
Inappropriate? We fully support both XP and Vista. Vista actually provide some really nice APIs that make thumbnail previous very easy.
Also, our stats indicate roughly 40% of our users are using vista so we definitely make supporting it a priority alongside xp.
