infinite desktop - misleading term.
calling it 'infinite' is a bit misleading, when it's actually more of a 'really big floor with no walls' - this would be fixable by either making it truly infinite (or even adding invisible barriers rather then the explicit 'edges') or by calling it 'field' view, or something like that.

Inappropriate?True - but there's still that brief moment of 'aw man...' when you're disappointed to find out that the 'infinite desktop' is in fact finite. -

The problem with making it truly infinite is that it would have major issues rendering on slightly worse computers, it is basically an optimization :-)

well yeah, that much is obvious - but did they have to call it something misleading? all I'm saying is - you can't call something 'infinite' and then give it big black definite edges.
