No Satisfaction from Get Satisfaction
Is is just me but this get satisfaction service seems to be much more pretty than it is functional. I'm doing a release myself soon and it is my opinion that this get satisfaction site is definatly not a replacement for a proper company informational blog. It is difficult to find what current issues are. Many links show no company rep activity for months, which I think is bad as it makes it look like BT is losing momemtum.
I would strongly consider a dedicated support area with regular company personal blogs as to what is going on. A proper list of known issues, collated and pinned in one place. Responded to by company reps as recognition of the problem, temporary work arounds etc,
Finally this "how are you feeling" really does not add any real functionality and further adds to the perception that Get Satisfaction is more about bells and whistles than functionality.
Sure I would keep something like this for the user community. But you know there are many great messaging board apps out there that out strip get satisfaction is just about every area of product maturity and functionality.
I don't know about anyone else here but if other established companies thought this was a great idea more would be using it. Honestly BT is the only place I have ever seen Get Satisfaction.
Get rid of Get satisfaction save the $$ per month they charge. Purchase some good messaging board software and take my suggestions above. I suspect many IT pros and regular users as well would agree.
The Get Satisfaction interface sucks and looks like a toy for providing support for toys.
Sorry my two cents,

Inappropriate?Same opinion here, and I hate the mood thing, even more when the board tells me putting my mood on a thread will make it more visible to the team. I mean, what the hell ?

Inappropriate? Thanks RedIron. We're rethinking some of your support services and so we'll take this into consideration.
Btw, there's more technical detail at bumptop.com/support
That said, there are some things we definitely like about GS. Such as the conversational style and community focus versus more traditional bulletin board software. And there are some pretty established companies using GS such as Microsoft, Adobe and Twitter.
Thanks for your feedback though.

Inappropriate?Amen. The getsatisfaction site is the antithesis of "satisfaction". It is annoying, completely user unfriendly, and detracts from the overall experience that I have with BumpTop. Does anyone every do user experience testing any more???? I mean real user experience testing. i.e. watch users, ask them what they are trying to accomplish, make the interface adhere to the users goals as opposed to making the interface adhere to the whimsical desires of some snot nosed developer.
