Inappropriate?Just to confirm whether this is a launching issue, or a settings app issue - can you run the BumpTop Settings.exe file in the Program Files directory to see if it loads?
-
Inappropriate? It loads that way, but not through the menu or tray icon.

Inappropriate? It's likely that it's just not finding the correct path to the settings app then; we'll try and have a fix for this out later today.

Inappropriate? We've pushed out another installer (but kept the version number the same) -- can you re-download the installer from the Beta HQ and check that it's been fixed? Anyone updating from this point on should have the fix already.

Inappropriate?I've got the same issue with B14, except that, when I try to launch BumpTop Settings.exe, I get an error reading "Hmm...No BumpTop window specified for this Settings dialog to edit. Certain changes will not be available and have been disabled." There's an OK button, but when I click it, the error goes away, and nothing else happens.

Hi Pete, are you bringing up the settings from the system tray menu? If you are running the exe directly, then there are certain settings which take place for a specific BumpTop instance which can't be changed (without knowing which instance is tied to that dialog). Do you also mean that the dialog does not show after that message box? -
Inappropriate?I only get this problem when I try to open the Settings dialog from the pie menu. Opening it from the system tray works fine.

Inappropriate? Thanks for replying. Like Sunsparc, trying to bring up the settings from a right-click-generated pie chart, or from the right-click-generated system tray menu has no effect. Reading this thread, I tried invoking the .exe directly, but still no joy. Also, yes, I have been unable to get any BumpTop settings dialog, from any method I've tried. (BumpTop was initially pretty slow on my laptop -- a Dell Latitude D620 with 2G RAM and a medium-pantload of work crap running; so I wanted to see what tweaks I might be able to make via settings [removing the picture frames from the BumpTop improved things quite a bit].)

Inappropriate?Hey guys, we've added some additional logging to try and track down these kind of issues; can you both run (from a command line console) "BumpTop.exe -log" -- it'll generate a log file in your Application Data\Bump Technologies Inc.\BumpTop directory, and sending us that log file will help us further track down th problem (to feedback@bumptop.com).
Thanks -
Inappropriate? My problem i think is worst the settings aren't opening
i've try 3 ways and it shows the same message it says it has the wrong config and that i shoul reinstall but i've try that 4 times (redownloading to) and its the same.

Inappropriate?I just downloaded bumptop for the first time and it the settings button worked for a while but then it suddenly stopped working.
I can run it through the exe in the program files however.
