Stick-i-notes! for the time being.
Here is a temporary way to add stick-i-notes to your Bumptop.
extract the archive into a folder and with photoshop or gimp, open one of the notes to edit it.
add a text or paint layer and type or draw away!
When you are done, save for web as a .png, name it and save it to the desktop.
archive can be found here: http://electrikjesus.deviantart.com/a...
Enjoy!!

Inappropriate?Jon you rock! Due to popular demand we're aiming to roll out Post It notes in our next update (~1week). And it looks remarkably similar to your mockup! Check out this sneak peek.
I’m excited!!!

I love it. I was just getting impatient. :) -
Inappropriate?A comment and a quick question...
I like the sticky-note idea, though, was wondering how difficult a notepad type of feature would be to create. IE: A spiral notepad that could flip pages up-down or perhaps standard book, let/right (per page)
The other part I wanted to ask about is in the programming field.
I was wondering what you used to program/compile & such so that I could see if I could contribute more. (&/or if widgets are/will be available (to as well create)). -
Inappropriate?I have a flash app that I wrote to do just that. it even imports my office notes.
I noticed that the team has been working on file type previews a lot. maybe .swf previews are in the plans.
I’m curious
-
Inappropriate?Just wondering, how do sticky notes interact with other objects, if at all?
I’m happy about the included sticky notes
-
Inappropriate?Yo, you can actually accomplish that "spiral notebook" feel if you throw a bunch of those sticky notes into a pile. And then just leaf through them. Its pretty cool actually. I'm loving the Post-It note feature big time. Can't wait for you guys to try it next week.
Re: SWF. I totally don't understand why this is such a popular request. Why do people store SWF's on their filesystem? I don't have any and I've never seen anybody with them. Can somebody enlighten me?
I’m excited by posting my notes!

re: SWF.
As a Flash Developer. I have 100's of little flash applications I have created for various reasons. Most are prototypes for apps that will be written in another language. but some are quite useful. For instance. A while back I made a simple Mind Mapping utility in flash that lets me scribble down my ideas and connect them together. this is very helpful to me.
Another example of good uses for .swf is simple widgets. like a clock, Stock ticker, Callendar, Address Book, RSS reader etc...
I am all for adding .swf functionality to the mix. It will make coding Widgets very easy for the app. -
Inappropriate?Cuttently the notes behave like any other object in bumptop. They bump, can be resized, pinned to the wall, put in piles with other objects, etc
I think it would be cool to attach a note into an existing file or pile, but we wanted to release something simple at first and see how its used.
So far, I am loving the notes. Hope you guys do too.
