Inappropriate?Hi there, can you try removing everything from your application data directory to see if that helps?
C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Bump Technologies, Inc\BumpTop\

Inappropriate?Do you know what theme you were using before the crash?
-
Inappropriate?Yes, the "Under the Ice" theme.
It is all woking now, even when I restart BumpTop. :-D
Good job! ^^ -

Inappropriate?Have the same problem on Beta 17. Removed the single 'desktop.lock' file beneath C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Bump Technologies, Inc\BumpTop\ and it did not resolve the issue.
Error message is 'the exception unknown software exception (0xc000000d) occurred in the application at location 0x005ad033.
It occurs on loading. The shortcuts on the desktop have all been moved flush with the left margin, and the wall icons seem to have reset to default. The shortcuts don't get to the point of displaying their images. -
Figured out how to fix it:
1. Emptied c:\documents and settings\your_username\application data\bump technologies, inc\bumptop\WebThumbnails,
2. In c:\documents and settings\your_username\application data\bump technologies, inc\bumptop, I renamed scene.bump and scene.bump.bak to *.old, and
3. Ran C:\Program Files\BumpTop\BumpTop Settings.exe and set my theme to one of the defaults.
Everything came up fine!
One more detail about the crash prior to this: It kept making sticky note files -- every time I started BumpTop and it crashed, there were a couple of more on the desktop. Deleting them had no effect. Really strange, since I hadn't changed my theme from the default and had been running successfully like this for a couple of weeks. Glad to have BumpTop back!
