Who wants custom mesh icons =D?

I know I would love to be able to use an OBJ file or something like that for the icons on the Bumptop. Does anyone agree that this would be a useful addition to Bumptop? It would be great for customization, especially if textureing, shiny, and bumpmap are supported.

A 3D mesh landscape for the background would be great too; especially with shadows of the icons to give the scene more realism. Shiny ice flooring with sexy aluminum icons DO WANT!

I'm fully aware that OpenGL supports such things, and really hope to see the aesthetic be fully customizable at some point. I'm even willing to help out with this as much as I can, being a 3D mesh and texturing artist* and coder*.

*(Amateur, but I'm up for anything nonetheless)
