Dataedit control style

Hi - I have a form in which I want to dispaly a number of fields representing currency and am using dataedit controls. The default is to left align these values so have appled a stylesheet with only a font entry to each field. However, this does not seem to give the desired effect. Dataedit fields do not seem to pick up the font size. Also if I set align center it displays left aligned and if I set align right the control disappears when simulated. The same style applied to a textedit field does appear to work correctly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
