Food that worked
I read lots of lists of what to bring for food but here are some things that was really awesome on the playa
* No breakfast. We woke up too late and were in a lunch mood. Foods requiring no prep were good:
* Cucumbers (keep a long time without refrigeration)
* Tomatoes
* Hummus and tahini
* Olives
* Dolmas
* Chips and salsa
* Cold minestrone soup from a can
* Hot soups of the pour the hot water in variety
* Cheese
* Chocolate chip cookies
We didn't really eat much 'dinner' food like the indian ready to eat dinners we took with us. It turned out to be a hassle and no appetite for heavy things. Soups went over well as an evening meal supplemented with other snacks. We brought a lot of trail mix type items but didn't eat them. Mostly it was veggies and dips.
