Inappropriate?There are uniformed and undercover cops out there. For the most part the uniformed cops stay out of the way. You'll occasionally see them driving around, but they blend in after awhile (playa dust has a way of giving everything an otherworldly sheen).
I've heard stories of undercover busts where they nail somebody for sitting on a massive cache of ecstasy or magic mushrooms. They're looking for people with intent to distribute I imagine. -
Inappropriate?In addition to the "intent to distribute" test they'll also arrest people who are blatantly flaunting the law right in front of them. This is why pot it such an issue.
