The "Overall" (i.e., total) at the bottom of the budget is incorrect.
It's currently showing the same value of the first budget item (i.e., $50) rather than the total of all budget items (should be something like $2000-3000).
Buxfer is great when it is working 100% correctly. I would suggest a "prettier" GUI. I liked the interface of www.mint.com but the lack of iPhone accessibility brought me here.
I've set up some reminders that was working before, but suddenly stoped to.
I've sent 3 'report a problem' through the buxfer interface, several weeks ago without ANY answer.
I'm a paid member for more than 2 years, and can't even get a 'Hey, we are looking to solve the problem!'. Very disappointing.
Two questions to point:
1) the support for paid member should exist, because it was sold!
2) if a remind doesn't work this cause me a lot of trouble, as I need to be searching where is the gap. As I really hate accountability, you can't imagine how frustrating and annoying it is.
I am supposed to get "priority customer support" with my Pro subscription, yet I have not heard anything about any of my support requests. Just wondering what is going on.
There is PLENTY of real estate with this interface, so I don't understand the need to truncate somewhere on a lot of screens. Some examples are the Bill Reminders screen (the calendar view), the Summary screen where it lists upcoming bills (widget) and the account list going down the left side, it only shows 12 characters before the ... starts. The Bill Reminders annoys me the most.
Here's my question. When I pay bills, I enter them into my register. Then when the bills clear the bank, they are automatically reentered into the register. Is there a way to do a "reconciliation" or a "transaction matching" in the system? That's what I really need.
I have two American Express credit cards. A few weeks ago, I was able to select which card to sync transactions from after I enter my username + password, but now that option doesn't seem to exist, and Buxfer is picking the card I don't want. Has this functionality changed or been removed?
I am very new Buxfer user (since yesterday to be exact) and went "pro" after just a couple of hours using the basic free version, I think Buxfer is worth more than a couple bucks a month compared to what's out there!
My problem is that I can't get Firebux to show up after install. I have several other extensions and add-ons installed but nothing that SHOULD conflict with Firebux. I have tried the install 3 times and once from Mozilla directly.
Firefox tells me that the installation was successful and I need to restart but even after I restart there is no Firebux available and no listing of it when I look at my installed add-ins list.
My bank allows me to export transactions in a CSV format with a column reporting the amount and another one reporting the sign. Buxfer help says it is a recognized format, but I can't manage to make Buxfer correctly import transactions.
How can I do it?
Marking a transaction as 'refund' confuses overall costs shown next to pie chart and athe the bottom! it seems sthg is calculated wrong, if I build the sum of my costs shown in the chart it is not the same shown next to the pie chart and athe the bottom of transactions. If I replace refund an declare as 'income' everything is fine again.
Under budgets: I want to have the option to select for negative rollover, but not positive. For example, I have a personal spending budget of $75/month. If I spend more than this, I want to subtract it from next month's budget, but if I spend less, I do NOT want to add this to next months budget. The purpose of this is to keep me inside my budget without encouraging me to spend every bit of it.
When will you be adding functionality to the Budget which will allow me to choose fortnights and weeks as well as months for the duration of the budget?
Great site!! I just have one annoyance at the moment. I have a roommate so I would like to take advantage of the IOU's to track who pays for what. The problem that I have run into is that throughout the month I will pay for most of the bills and then at the end of the month my roommate will give me a lump sum check to cover it all. As I incur the expenses I can mark it as a shared expense and see a running total of what is owed to me. However, when I receive the check from my roommate, it shows up as income to my account, then when I "settle" the bills that it covered, my account will appear to have "earned" that money twice.
Is it possible to "itemize" a settlement to apply it towards several smaller loans, marking them as settled at the same time? Since I can't mark the loans as settled because it will throw off my balance, I also can't see what things have been paid for and what is remaining to be paid for.
Please let me know if I am going about this incorrectly, or if this is simply not possible.
Great tool- starting to move my finances to this from MSFT Money. One thing that Money does well and why I am keeping it as well is investments- returns, dividends, current prices, etc. as they go into net worth. Is Buxfer going to add this as well- an investments section so that all of this can roll up into net worth. Things like dividends and interest roll up into my income as well- so linkages- this would be a great feature.
