Chase Checking Sync Error
Can't get my Chase Checking Account to sync. It says invalid login, but it is my correct user/pass combo.

Inappropriate?Me too. Do you have both a personal and business credit card or accounts under the same login? I think that may be my problem, but no one at Chase seems to be able to fix it. I can't add transfer accounts either for this reason.
It makes it hard to figure out if this is the fault of Buxfer or Chase.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I just have a checking account and I'm getting the error. It'd be nice if someone from Buxfer could confirm if it is a problem with Chase or the Buxfer software.
Did it work previously? I just got the account with Chase a couple of weeks ago. -
Inappropriate? For chase banking you have to
"Activate Direct Access through the PFM service"
its under Customer Center -> Activate Money, Quicken, etc.

this solves the problem

Inappropriate?See, thats what I'm confused about. When you go to chase, you can enable this 'allow quick download from software like quicken' for free. But then there is this other thing for a monthly fee, that looks like it also enables a download. I dont know what the difference is? Is one compatible with buxfer and the other not?
It looks to me that the first option is not an automatic download, it is just a one-time manual file download. If so it is a shame that this service is not free for Chase customers. It is enough for me to consider switching to a different bank.
These are the options:
OPTION 1 (FREE)
Download Now (no charge)
At no charge, you can download your account activity to a file on your desktop, then import it into your PFM software. Note: the OFX file format is recommended for Microsoft Money, Quicken or Quickbooks, version 2005 or newer.
OPTION 2 ($9.95/MO)
Activate Direct Access through the PFM service ($9.95/month)1
Designed for those who use PFM software to retrieve account information and pay bills directly from the software. You'll be able to retrieve the activity for most of your Chase accounts at one time. We may charge a fee for this service depending on your account type. Read the Addendum and Additional Banking Services and Fees [help with this feature, link opens in new window] for details. -
Inappropriate?Option 2 is what Buxfer needs to sync automatically. I still have my old bank account and will consider switching back (the only thing keeping me is that Regions does not have a branch anywhere near Denver). However, I have a solution. Firebux does work for syncing, but as far as I know, you can't schedule Firebux to run daily. I'm going to make a small java program that will do what Firebux does for Chase. That way you can schedule it using your OS.

Inappropriate? There has to be a solution to this. Other online services (Mint, Yodlee) can access Chase easily without having to enable PFM Direct access for a hefty sum of money. This is the only thing holding me back from Buxfer right now.

Inappropriate?Yeah, this is messed up. I'm thinking about moving to Mint. This really needs to be fixed. It's been a few weeks now.
I’m thinking about switching services

Inappropriate? From reading the posts above, I'm clear on the problem now- and I also do not want to pay $10/mo to use this with Chase.
But for completeness, I'll describe my original gripe:
I am having trouble downloading my transactions from Chase Banking. I'm not entirely sure if I should be trying JP Morgan Chase (Texas), but neither one works with my username and password that I use to access my online banking.
