Firebux not installing properly

The Firebux button that the 'getting started' guide shows does not show clearly on the bottom bar; there is just a small space where it should be. When I right click on it, I get two options, "Options" and "Visit Buxter.com". There is a blank space where I assume 'login' should be, but clicking it causes nothing to happen. I've restarted the browsers several times and have reinstalled the add-on as well.
