Membership expiration warnings all arrive in one shot?
I had paid for a single month of Plus on 13 June, 2009 because I wanted to try it out and see how I liked it.
At 3:42AM EDT today I received three e-mails from Buxfer, titled:
"Your membership is about to expire in one day"
"Your membership is about to expire in five days"
"Your membership is about to expire in ten days"
So, basically any and all about expiration came in one shot in the middle of the night, and now my plan has reverted to the Basic. Some of the accounts over and above the five-account limit to the Basic plan have disappeared -- accounts that I manually update since almost none of my Canadian banks are supported for online syncing. I suspect that data is now lost.
In fact, the reason I went with a Plus account in the first place was to get around this five-account limitation.
I have to say that essentially having my membership downgraded and some of my data deleted without any real and useful warning (due to a glitch in your mail software, no doubt) is pretty irritating.

Inappropriate? You data should still be there. This same thing happened to me, getting all the notifications at one time. When I signed up for 6 months my data came back correctly.
Buxfer has some serious date/time/email issues. Bill Reminders don't happen on Sundays, you can't change the time of reminders from the default 10:15, and some bill reminders don't even get emailed.
If they would simple test before they rolled out, a lot of these could get fixed before it hits the customer. -
Inappropriate?Thanks for the reply, Eric!
Yes, Eric is right. The data is not lost. As soon as you renew your membership, your data will be restored.
And apologies for the errors with date/time/email. Both the reminder and expiration email issues should be fixed. Thanks for pointing it out!
