Savings targets - being able to manage progress towards a savings goal
One feature I'd really like to see is the ability to plan for a savings goal. The user can define the goal (a holiday, product or item, etc) as freetext, the amount needed, and the deadline for reaching the goal.
From there, buxfer can work out a suggested savings plan which would then allow the user to add a reminder at defined periods to make a transaction into a specified account for the amount.
The system could also generate alerts when the savings goal isn't on target and give the user some suggested math to get back on track.

Inappropriate?I totally agree, and this is something that I was really surprised to find missing from almost every other online financial management site. Savings goals should be a part of everyone's personal financial plan.
For now though, I can still set my own goals, set up recurring transfers into my savings account for them, and tag each transfer with its purpose.
That allows me to see the total allocated to each purpose in my savings account, as well as the overall balance of my savings account. So this can be done manually. But more fully featured savings goal functionality would be a very nice feature that would put Buxfer a step above the other sites in that regard.
BTW, I was also surprised to see Quicken Online refer to SPENDING budgets as "goals". Considering they're one of the sites that has nothing offered in the way of SAVINGS goals, I think they've got the concept of money management all backwards. -
Inappropriate?I'd like to see this goal both as a set value ($1000) and as a percentage of income (10% of monthly, yearly, etc.).
