Tag names should not be case sensitive
Tag names really should not be case sensitive!
For example, I tagged a transactions as "rent", which created a brand new tag, rather than realizing I probably meant my "Rent" tag.

Inappropriate?Agreed -- any update? I see no reason for tags to be case sensitive and it is quite frustrating =\

I know that German capitalizes nouns, but I don't think that means Buxfer tags should be case sensitive. Buxfer should display the tag however you initially typed it in -- so if you created the tag as "Essen" it would keep the tag capitalized.
What I mean by case-insensitive is that if you later add a tag to a transaction as "essen", Buxfer would be smart enough to realize that it's the same as your "Essen" tag. I don't think that, even in German, you'd want Buxfer to make 2 separate tags, "Essen" and "essen". -
Inappropriate?I think one of the issues here is that tags get automatically created without prompting the user. If a simple prompt asking such as: "This tag is not currently in your tag list. Are you sure you want to create a new tag?" would solve the problem altogether. That would also prevent tags from being created from typos etc.

Great idea! I've had that problem, too! (You can turn off automatic tagging altogether though, in case you haven't seen that. That's what I have set now.)
