Adding semesters, classes and notes in one go.
I add a semester, add a few classes, and add a note, and while adding the note, this error pops up :
req: {"error":1,"msg":"Unknown note_id: 0"} textStatus: error errorThrown: undefined
I didn't refresh between adding.
It seems that it happens when I click the New Note button.

Inappropriate?Hrmm, this sucks. I'm looking at it now.
-
Inappropriate?Perhaps this is related to http://getsatisfaction.com/campusnote... ?
-
Inappropriate? To note, this happened when I simply created a class and then added a note, so the fact a semester was added may be a red herring.
In fact, as far as I can tell, it occurs any time you add a note to an empty class (may also apply to folders). The call that appears to cause it is a GET to http://beta.getcampusnotes.com/api/js... with a response from the server of{"error":1,"msg":"Unknown note_id: 0"}.
I’m hopeful

Oh, I'm actually getting this when adding any note to anywhere at all, which royally sucks. -
Inappropriate?I'm thinking this might be happening because you're trying to add a note before the previous AJAX call is complete. Look for the loading spinner in the top right, wait for it to stop spinning before adding.
-
That's a bit of an impractical response as far as usability goes. -
I know. We're looking at locking the entire UI while it's loading, or creating some sort of queue. -
+1 on the queue, fwiw. -
Sure but unless you're furiously adding stuff in an untypical-in-real-use way or you're on the world's slowest internet connection, you'll never overlap calls. We're transferring tiny amounts of data. -
Somewhat true. I can replicate the problem, when I'm quickly adding a new semester, new class, and new note without bothering to name them first, and I'm on a faster connection than most people I know. -
Inappropriate? On further inspection, it appears that it fails whenever the content pane/column has "Nothing Selected", if that helps. I just changed from a class to "Everything" and waited until the spinner disappeared, then added a new note and got the same thing.
Hope that helps :)

Inappropriate?That does help. Thanks!
