Canon ImageRunner printer line has abandoned Mac OS X

Try adding the printer as a Generic PCL Printer. This gives you duplex and tray choices. Other advanced features such as stapling and secure print/store will be unavailable, however. At least it's a start with some basic support. I say to use the PCL instead of the PostScript because I have found that the PostScript will crash our ImageRunner and doesn't give tray selection.

Thanks for the advise of using the Generic PCL printer. At least that gives me access to the printer until Canon can get on the ball and fix this issue.

Canon does have updated drivers for most of their imageRunner copiers in PPD format now, but I haven't found any updates for their direct Fax driver. I ran into permissions issues trying to run the installer, but I fixed that with:
sudo chmod -R a+x "Fax Installer.app". Have to reboot now to see if it works.

My problem is that our office uses the "copy code" feature for copying AND printing, and that driver is needed to make the password box come up. It works SORT OF reliably in Leopard and doesn't work at all in Snow Leopard. Very disappointed in Canon ATM. Time to change vendors?
